Gravity Leads BAFTA Film Award Nominations

This year, Warner Bros. received 20 nominations – the most of any studio – for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards, which recognize the best work of any nationality seen on British cinema screens during the preceding year.

Gravity received 11 nominations, making it BAFTA's most-nominated film of the year. Earlier this week, Alfonso Cuarón received a Golden Globe for his direction of Gravity, which was also named Best Film of the Year at the 39th Annual Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards, tying Warner Bros.' Her for the win.

Warner Bros. also received BAFTA nominations for The Great Gatsby, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Pacific Rim and Blue Jasmine, which the studio distributed in select overseas territories.
