TBS Doubles the Laughs with Pickups for Full Frontal, The Detour
It's a good week to be a member of the Samantha Bee and Jason Jones household, as TBS picked up more episodes for not one but two series from the star couple.
On Monday, TBS ordered 26 episodes of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, bringing its full season total to 39 through the end of 2016. The series set the late night scene abuzz with its debut in February, and has garnered critical raves along with 3.7 million viewers per episode across TBS's linear, digital and mobile platforms. The series is executive produced by Bee and husband Jason Jones, along with Jo Miller, Miles Kahn and Tony Hernandez.
The producing partners flipped the script on Wednesday, as TBS announced a second-season pickup of Jason Jones' comedy The Detour -- nearly a week before its series debut on April 11. The series is created and written by Jones and Bee, who share executive producer responsibilities with Brennan Shroff and Tony Hernandez.
Full Frontal airs on Monday nights on TBS at 10:30 p.m., while The Detour will debut on TBS on Monday, April 11 at 9 p.m. Those who can't wait that long to hit the road can check out the Detour pilot starting today on The Detour Facebook page, TBS's YouTube channel, TBS.com, TBS On Demand and the Watch TBS mobile app.
