The women of Warner Bros. Technology hosted 30 girls from STEAM:CODERS, a nonprofit focused on education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). The WB Technology team is committed to educating future leaders about the benefits of a STEAM education, as well as encouraging all to explore the possibilities in STEAM disciplines.
The participants learned about new forms of storytelling through augmented and virtual reality, witnessed how WB’s iconic characters come to life through apps and websites, and even observed how the WB Technology team protects employees and our online content every day.
Since its inception in July 2014, STEAM:CODERS has inspired underrepresented and underserved students and families through the fundamentals of STEAM. The Pasadena-based nonprofit has introduced over twelve hundred new K-12 students to STEAM-oriented studies and career opportunities.
