Goethe once said, "A man can stand anything except a succession of ordinary days," a problem the characters in HBO's latest drama, Succession, decidedly don't have.
HBO execs and stars of the series—which follows the lives of a super-rich family contending for control of its global media empire—showed up in force for the Tuesday-night premiere at New York City's Time Warner Center and an after-party at the swanky Porter House Bar and Grill.
HBO Chairman and CEO Richard Plepler and President of HBO Programming Casey Bloys were joined by creator and executive producer Jesse Armstrong, executive producers Frank Rich and Kevin Messick, and cast members Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Keiran Culkin, Alan Ruck and many more.
Set in New York, Succession explores themes of power, politics, money, and family as Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his children face a difficult choice when a feud over company control and family loyalties collide.
The series' ten-episode season premieres June 3 at 10 p.m. ET.
