Meet the New Guy
The first week on any new job is a bit of a whirlwind, but John Stankey's probably got most of us beat.
Stankey, WarnerMedia's new CEO, spent his first full week hopping around the country, hosting town hall events at the company's three main locations—New York, Burbank and Atlanta—and meeting hundreds of his new colleagues.

Whether discussing increased investment in premium video content with CEO Richard Plepler and the HBO team in New York; reveling in the studio's history and bright future with Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara and employees in Burbank; or talking the future of targeted advertising with Anderson Cooper and Turner employees in Atlanta, Stankey carried a message for everyone at WarnerMedia: The future for HBO, Turner and Warner Bros. is bright.
"If you can't tell, I'm incredibly excited to be here," Stankey told the crowd in Atlanta—echoing sentiments he'd expressed in New York and Burbank. "Never in my life did I dream I'd be sitting on this stage, in this chair. We are in a place the people we serve—and the society we serve—pay attention and care about. They pay attention to what's done here every day with the news and social responsibility; they're culturally engaged with sport and competition; they're emotionally attached to movies. We are where it matters. To be in the middle of this relevant moment is an incredible privilege."
