Miracles made in Georgia: Filming TBS’s ‘Miracle Workers’
TBS is answering prayers you didn’t even know you had with its new anthology series, “Miracle Workers.” The show stars Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Craig, a low-level angel and reports to the biggest boss of them all: God. Steve Buscemi plays the big man upstairs who’s fed up with Earth and all its problems. Cue Craig and his fellow angel Eliza (Geraldine Viswanathan) who try to pull off a miracle in order to prevent God’s destruction of Earth.
Though the series takes place at the crummy and crusty corporate office of Heaven Inc., the cast and crew’s experience while filming the anthology series was far from mediocre. You could even say it was…heavenly ;)
For this scripted series, the show team packed their bags and headed to TBS’s hometown: Atlanta, Ga.
The city answered filmmakers’ prayers and acted as the perfect place to shoot heaven on Earth. With residential, rural and urban areas all within a short distance, the Peach State turned out to be the ideal location to make miracles happen.
Last night we wrapped up @miracleworkerstbs From the moment I read the script for the first episode, a demonic presence within me awoke and said “I HAVE TO BE IN THIS”. And then it actually happened. Now that I am on the other side of it, I can safely say that the experience exceeded every expectation I had. As I dive head first into the deep waters of unemployment, I’m filled with gratitude. Beyond lucky to be a part of this one. See you inside your [TV emoji] in January
