The award-winning HBO series “Deadwood” is set to make its highly anticipated debut – 13 years after its conclusion. Except this time, HBO is releasing it as a movie.

The series ran for three seasons before its abrupt end in 2006. Set in the late 1800s, it followed a host of outlaws and misfits to the Black Hills of South Dakota, after the richest gold strike in U.S. history. The movie will reunite the characters 10 years later, as they return to celebrate South Dakota’s statehood. But the reunion ignites old rivalries, tests alliances and re-opens wounds not quite healed.

“Deadwood” will premiere sometime in the spring of 2019. Check out the newly released trailer below.
