The Batman 80th Mural Art Series has landed on the Warner Bros. lot
In celebration of Batman’s 80th anniversary, DC Comics launched the Mural Art Series this summer in four cities across the U.S.
It all kicked off in early June with a 10-foot mural of the Caped Crusader painted by local street artist Joey Nix in Seattle. That mural was quickly followed with one in Bentonville, Ark., by artist Octavio Logo, while another will debut in Dallas later this summer.
The series even made its way to the Warner Bros. Studios lot recently. Painted by Warner Bros.’ own Kat Sanders, the mural in Burbank pays homage to “Batman: The Animated Series.” It spans 14 feet and took 51 hours to complete. Check out her tribute to the Dark Knight in the video below:
Fans are encouraged to pose with the murals and share on social media with the hashtag #LongLiveTheBat. For the latest on Batman’s 80th anniversary celebrations around the globe, including the mural series, visit Batman80.com.
